Cocoon Recovery Home is not a medical service or medical provider. Our specialty is providing luxurious and comfortable shared living space to assist guests with physical recovery following cosmetic surgery procedures. It is important that you understand that Cocoon Recovery Home is not a substitute for medical care or hospitalization; therefore the surgeon that performed your surgery will remain responsible for your medical care.
All prices are in U.S dollars and subject to change until the reservation minimum deposit of $200 is paid.
Guests are billed on the same invoice as the patient.
If you arrive at Cocoon Recovery Home prior to your surgery, the night you spend at your surgeon’s clinic will be charged at $100 USD instead of the usual rate, given we save your bed from any other possible reservations.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
Deposit- The reservation becomes binding only after a non-refundable deposit of $200 per guest has been received.
Final Payment- For reservations made 31 days or more prior to arrival that are going to be paid through Zelle transfer or direct bank deposit, final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. For reservations made 30 days or less prior to arrival that are going to be paid through Zelle transfer or direct bank deposit, full payment is due to Cocoon Recovery Home at the time the reservation is booked. Balance can be paid in cash upon check in if the $200 deposit has been already paid. Zelle transfers or direct bank deposits will not be accepted upon check in, if this is the only payment method offered by the patient on the day of check in a 13% processing fee will be added to the total.
CANCELLATION AND RESERVATION CHANGES FEES:
Cancellation Prior to Arrival- In case you want to make a final cancellation of your reservation, amounts paid, minus deposit and cancellation fees, and other amounts owed, will be refunded. For a cancellation made between 29 – 15 days prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of $200 per reservation. For reservations canceled 6 days prior to arrival through the scheduled day of arrival and for no-shows, the full reservation price is non-refundable.)
Changes Prior to Arrival- There is a $100 fee per reservation for any changes made 15 days or less prior to arrival to Cocoon Recovery Home. To request a change please contact us at email@example.com (Changes are subject to availability)
Rescheduling- We understand that special unavoidable circumstances may cause you to reschedule your procedure on the same day of surgery. All reschedules are based on availability, please notify as soon as you’re coordinating a new surgery date with your doctor so we confirm we can accommodate your new recovery dates. If the rescheduled dates do not fit into Cocoon Recovery Home’s agenda the reschedule will proceed as a final cancellation.
One reschedule is granted in case of surgery cancellation for medical reasons only. In case of a second reschedule guest will need to pay another deposit to keep reservation.
No refunds will be given for reservations canceled 7 days prior to arrival, on the day of arrival, or reservation no-shows. Any refunds must be requested in writing to info@cocoonrecovery,com. Cocoon Recovery Home reserves the right to make refunds in accordance with the method that payment was received.
The $200 minimum reservation deposit is under any situation (cancellation, no show, failure to meet the standards of your doctor to have surgery done, accidents, death) non-refundable and non-transferable.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT POLICY:
Standard check-in time is 10:00 a.m. and checkout time is 9:00 a.m.
At arrival, every guest must fill out a “LIABILITY RELEASE FORM”. A passport or ID card must be presented for every guest wishing to stay, this is required by law for the purpose of registration.
Late check out fees:
Before 1 pm $30
After 1 pm $50
After 5 pm $145
Late check out is based on availability only.
ROOMS AND GUESTS:
Rooms are shared between 2 guests per room at the rate of $145 per night.
Private room can be booked at a rate of $165 dlls per night (depends on availability)
Patient’s companions are available on a “request basis only” at a rate of $100 per night (female and male guests). This rate includes three meals and a bed in the patient’s room only, snacks and laundry service is not included in the patient’s companion rate. Caretakers will not attend any guest, transportation for guests is not included in this rate.
Guests will be asked to lower their voice tone and TV volume after 10 pm.
In accordance with the Mexican law, use of drugs, any illegalsubstance, alcohol, tobacco or marihuana is strictly prohibited, and anyone caught using them will immediately be asked to leave Cocoon Recovery Home without condition.
Taking the antibiotics and blood thinners prescribed by your doctor is mandatory, failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your stay with no right to a refund.
MEDICAL SUPPLY CLOSET
There is a one time medical supply closet fee of $20 that will be added to your invoice. It includes the following:
Bed pads, sanitary pads, tampons, baby wipes, bandaids, medical tape and gauze, antibacterial soap, alcohol, earplugs, arnica tea, cotton balls, and Q-tips, hand sanitizer, shampoo, and conditioner.
If you have a specific preference for any brand or product type please prepare beforehand.
Transportation from the clinic/hospital after being discharged from surgery.
Transportation to a maximum of two post-op appointments. (Every additional ride will be charged at the rate of $30 USD)
Transportation on your departing day to one final destination within Tijuana’s medical district.
Local transportation is only included within Tijuana’s medical district, any pick up, round trip or drop off at clinics that are located outside this range will not be included and will be quoted individually depending on the distance from our premises.
Transportation NOT included
We DO NOT provide transportation for any non-surgery related errands.Border crossing services are NOT included in your reservation.
Cocoon Recovery Home offers San Diego Airport/ San Ysidro border area – Tijuana transportation, if service is needed, please notify us prior your arrival.
San Diego Airport-Tijuana – $80 USD each way
San Ysidro Border Area- Tijuana – $60 USD each way
What you eat during the postoperative period will help your body recover faster, that’s why in Cocoon Recovery Home we have a specially designed menu that is both healthy and delicious. This menu includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks but it can also change depending on the season and food availability. Meals are prepared by our personal chef at designated hours.
3 healthy meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, same as the patient’s meals)
Companion’s meals will be served along the patient’s meal designated hours
This is a list of the snacks variety that we offer : fruit with yogurt or cottage cheese, toast with peanut butter, jelly or avocado, apple of celery with peanut butter, smoothies, granola bars, oatmeal cookies and cucumber with lemon.
Protein and electrolyte drinks are not included in our daily packages.
Any meals, snacks or beverages outside our menu is at your own risk to take, we encourage our guests to follow whatever the doctor has instructed them to eat.
Massages are not included, however we can schedule massage therapist visits to our home during your stay, if this service is needed please let us know in advance.
To respect other guest’s privacy and comfort, there is a two hour visiting limit visiting between 1pm and 6pm.
Daily laundry service for bed sheets and compression garments is included. Every patient stay includes one load of personal belongings.
